Tower of Pisa & Lucca Itinerary

Your day begins with hotel pick-up in Florence, where your driver will take you west through the Tuscan countryside toward Pisa.
Pisa: Piazza dei Miracoli & Leaning Tower

Arrive in Pisa and head straight to Piazza dei Miracoli, where the Leaning Tower, Cathedral, and Baptistery are all located.
You’ll then climb the Leaning Tower itself, following the spiral staircase to the top. As you make your way up, you’ll feel the tilt of the structure, which becomes more noticeable with each level. From the top, you get a clear view over Pisa and the surrounding area, as well as a unique perspective back down onto the square.
After the tower, step inside Pisa Cathedral, where your guide will walk you through its beautiful interior, pointing out key features and explaining how it fits within the wider Piazza dei Miracoli complex.
Lucca Historic Center: Streets & Squares

After your visit to Pisa, it’s time to get back in your luxury vehicle for the journey to Lucca, where you’ll start with a walk through its historic center.
Your guide will take you through a network of streets and small squares, explaining how the city developed and why it feels different from other Tuscan towns. You’ll pass places like Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, built on the site of a Roman amphitheater, and San Michele in Foro.
Lucca City Walls: Walk or Cycle

Continue with time on Lucca’s city walls, one of its defining features.
These wide, tree-lined walls circle the entire historic center and are used today as a walking and cycling path. You can walk part of the route or, if you prefer, rent bikes and cover more ground.
From here, you get a different perspective of the city, looking down into the streets while also seeing the surrounding area.
Lunch in Lucca
Midday, stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Lucca.
Your guide can recommend a place depending on your preferences, whether you’re looking for something simple or more traditional. This is a chance to sit down, eat, and take a break before continuing.
Free Time or Additional Exploration

After lunch, you’ll have some free time to explore Lucca further.
You may choose to visit small shops, stop for coffee, or continue walking through the town. Your guide can adjust this part of the day based on your interests.
Return to Florence
In the afternoon, enjoy the scenic journey through the Italian countryside on the way to Florence. Your driver will bring you back to your hotel, where your day tour comes to a close.
