Path of the Gods Guided Hike Itinerary
Your day begins with hotel pick-up by your private driver. You’ll travel inland, away from the coastline, towards the village of Bomerano, where the hike begins.
The drive itself gradually reveals a different side of the region, moving from coastal views to higher ground.
Bomerano: Starting Point of the Trail
Arriving in Bomerano, your guide will prepare you for the walk ahead, going over the route and setting a comfortable pace for the group.
This part of the Amalfi Coast feels quieter and more local, with fewer visitors compared to the main towns. From here, you’ll begin your hike along a well-marked path that leads out towards the cliffs.
Path of the Gods: Coastal Views & Open Landscape
As you continue along the path, the views start to open up, stretching out across the coastline. The trail runs along the hillside, with Positano below, the sea ahead, and Capri visible in the distance on a clear day.
The route is straightforward but varied, with a mix of flatter sections, gentle climbs, and some uneven stone paths. Your guide sets an easy pace, stopping when it makes sense to take in the views or point things out along the way.
This section is the core of the experience, offering a completely different perspective of the Amalfi Coast compared to being on the road or by the water.
Nocelle: Hillside Village & End of the Trail
The hike leads towards Nocelle, a small village set high above Positano. Reaching here marks the end of the main trail.
You’ll have time to rest, take in the views, or stop for a drink in a local café. From this vantage point, you can look directly down onto Positano and the coastline below.
Optional Descent to Positano or Return Transfer
From Nocelle, you have two options depending on your preference and energy levels.
You can continue on foot, descending a long stone staircase into Positano, which takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour and brings you directly into the town.
Alternatively, the hike can conclude in Nocelle, where you’ll begin the return journey to your accommodation.
Return to Your Accommodation
After the hike, your driver will take you back to your accommodation along the Amalfi Coast.
The return journey gives you time to relax after the walk, bringing the day to a close.
